Rewild your soul
Rewild Your Soul: Unwind, Unlearn and find Freedom
Connect with your true self through nature and the body.
Your body is a portal to expanded consciousness.
There is wildness, aliveness and joy inside you!
Remember how to find it and let it bloom.
For many years I have had a practice of walking by myself in the forests of the Illawarra to let go of my thoughts, merge with nature and receive intuitive guidance.
On two recent walks I received a clear and insistent message that it was time to start sharing some of my time in the forest with others to REWILD together.
Do you dream of untaming and rewilding your mind and soul?
Would you like to unlearn the old patterns of thinking that are boxing you in and weighing you down?
We will walk in silence to connect deeply with with the energy of the forest and the earth to expand our consciousness.
We will sit on the earth together in circle to connect and share in unlearning and letting go of the stressful stories of the ego-mind.
Receive what your untamed soul and the forest have to give you. Will it be activation, release, inspiration or deep peace?
Come rewilding in the forest and find out!
Rewilding with Bare feet, Bare minds and Open Hearts.

Why me?
Your guide, Freya Dawson

I’ve been blessed with a strong connection to nature from a young age and had many experiences of merging into Oneness with lakes, the sea, desert and forest environments although as a child I didn’t think of these as spiritual experiences.
I was also blessed with a whole lot of repressed emotions, decades spend in focus on the analytic mind and a plummet into suffering and relationship dysfunction in my 30s and early 40s.
My spiritual journey and my unlearning of my old ways of thinking began in earnest after I became a mother of two sons. Over the last 22 years I have progressively unlearned atheism and scientific materialism as well as conventional beliefs about parenting, education and relationships. I have unraveled and dissolved patterns of codependency, people pleasing and unworthiness and released that deep store of repressed emotion.
I have been dedicated to the spiritual awakening journey for over 20 years and I’ve been influenced by many teachers, including Eckhart Tolle, Byron Katie, Adyashanti, David Hoffmeister, David Hawkins and Angelo Dillulo. My awakening and remembering of Presence has been gradual and profound, without the fireworks or sudden shifts of intense spiritual experiences.
In recent years I have offered many courses to my adult peers in person and online, including Joyful Parenting, Awakened Living, Reiki, Unschooling, Deschooling and Self Inquiry. I’ve mentored many parents in conscious parenting, unschooling and spiritual growth.
I practice meditation and merging with nature every day. I swim in one of Wollongong’s magnificent sea pools 6 days a week and on Sunday I devote myself to reconnecting with trees and the forest.
Read what my mentoring clients have been saying:
Freya’s support and guidance has inspired me in many ways. She has helped me to open up to a world I didn’t know existed, and shown me how to bring Peace, Joy and Freedom into my life. Her words always point directly to what I am wanting to hear. Such a wise soul. — Leisa

Freya has intuitively known how to guide me to reconnect with my own personal experience of pure love and joy. No matter what’s been happening in my life or what inner turbulence I’ve been experiencing, she has without fail, led my awareness back to my heart space. — Jodie

Freya has only ever seen the true me, not the drama, stress, anger, fear and situations. She has always been able to speak to me, directly past all that other stuff to show me how to wade through it and find what the True me wants and needs. From doing this with her I have come to place where I am stronger, well, following my joys, my relationships have improved with my children and husband. I am no longer a slave to my built up walls of protection from the ‘world’, I no longer go to bed with a anxiety and constant worry. I am free to be me, because I have had all I needed within me all along… Freya has helped me see that. — Keely

Freya supported and guided me on my way of becoming a more peaceful human being and better mum. Thanks to Freya my relationship with myself improved and I became the mum I always wanted to be. To be able to question all my thoughts became one of the most important tools I have in my life. Freya’s guidance was extremely important, especially at the beginning where on my own I could hardly identify any thoughts I had, but she could pick them up right away. She helped me understand how they had influenced my feelings and reactions. I learned that by changing my thoughts I can change my life. I couldn’t be who I am today without Freya – she really brought a lot of awareness into my life and provided me with a spiritual guidance when I needed it.
I would recommend Freya to anyone who is ready to improve their life through self-inquiry and all parents who want to become the best parents for their children.

Frequently asked questions
Will this be a one-off or a series of gatherings?
I plan to offer this Rewilding as a monthly gathering on a Sunday morning. The location will vary from month to month and will include either a bushwalk or, occasionally, a swim in the sea as well as time for a variety of spiritual practices.
How far will you be walking and how fit do I need to be?
You will need a moderate level of fitness and the ability to walk uphill on a narrow path for at least 1km without strain. The first walk is about 2.5km and has steep sections.
Can I bring my kids?
I would prefer that you didn’t bring your young child/children. The environment at the summit of Mount Kembla is dangerous for children as there are steep cliffs with no barriers. I can’t assume any responsibility for for supervising children or keeping them safe.

Healing the toxic inheritance of repressed anger
The main topic that I’ve been thinking about for the last month is the effect of repressed childhood anger on relationships, especially with our children. Many people believe that they were traumatised by an angry parent and they worry about getting angry at their own children. I know many mothers who believe that they have…
